Two hours later, Rohan was sitting alone and looking up at the stars. He was counting the stars and waiting for the daylight to come. It seems to him like a long time had passed. He already counted more than a hundred stars while sitting on the sand.

Within a few minutes, Tanya walked and sat next to him.

Tanya said, “It is hard to sleep with my drenched clothes. I thought we can talk for a while before I feel sleepy again and my clothes dry up too if you don’t mind.”

“Sure, I don’t mind,” Rohan replied looking at her.

“So what were you doing while we were sleeping? You might have felt quite bored alone I guess.” She said.

He said, “I was checking my stuff in the pocket and counting the stars. Do you have anything left in your pockets?”

“Well, I have a phone and a camera I think.”

“Do you have anything else?”

“Nope, I guess that is all I have got in my pockets. Why did you ask?”

He replied, “I thought maybe we could use our stuff to survive in this place.”

“Oh, then, I think my stuff won’t be able to help us.”

“It could possibly.”

She said, “Probably. I never thought that we would be in a place like this.”

“Yeah, same here” He replied to her.

“So what do you have in your pockets?”

“I have a knife and a lighter.”

Tanya said, “I think my best friend and your best friend have become good friends since the day we introduced our best friends with each other and meet at the café six months ago.”

“Yes, they have become close friends. It is nice that they don’t dislike each other. ”

“Do you think we could go back to our home? I am missing my cozy bed.” She said smiling at him.

He said after taking a pause, “Yes, me too. Well, I don’t know. It is hard to say right now whether we will get home or not.”

They looked into each other’s eyes and nodded slowly. They sat there quietly for some time.

“Don’t worry. We can try to make a cozy bed in this place if we could not reach our homes.” Rohan said.

She smiled at him. She shifted towards him and kept her head on his shoulders. He smiled and held her waist in his hands to pull her closer. She rested her face on his shoulders and looked at him slowly.

Tanya said smiling in a low voice, “I was feeling cold.”

“I know it is cold. I am glad you got closer. The cold seems to be going away now gradually” He said smiling at her. She laughed quietly.

“I think I can’t use my camera and phone now as they are not waterproof so. I don’t think they will work properly now.” Tanya said.

He nodded agreeing to her.

“I was so scared when the huge waves hit us on the boat.” She said, pulling his t-shirt closer to her.

“Same here, I was also afraid. Still, I kept my mind calm.” Rohan said.

She said laughing, “It was funny what Jay did to save you.” She paused and said in a serious voice, “Although, it was nice thing what he did as a best friend. I think you are a lucky person because you have such a great friend with you.”

“Yes, I am lucky to have him as a buddy.” He smiled.

She yawned and smiled at him. And soon, she fell asleep while talking in his arms. Rohan held her tightly when he noticed that Tanya was sleeping and then, he resumed counting stars alone in the night.

To be continued tomorrow………………
